The Chi-Bridge All-Stars, pictured above, will meet the Owl Drugs in a double header at Albee Stadium Sunday afternoon. The first game of the twin bill starrts promptly at 1:30 o'clock.
"Big Bruce" Johnson, who has won seven games for the All-Stars this season, will pitch the first game and Manuel Mendes will work the second game.
Sunday's start for the Drydockers will be the last of the season for the local club.
The Owl Drugs is the best club in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Weber, the team's sponsor, was a member of another prominent local family. There was a Weber's Saloon in Rohnerville, and Martin N. Weber had been one of Henry's Rohner's partners in the Springville Mill. Young Franklin Rohner also played second cornet in the town band.

Description: The FVFD's Single Ladies' Ball team was a good-natured spoof of Fortuna's real Single Ladies' baseball team, which played against the Married Ladies in 1910 and 1911. The FVFD team, according to the Humboldt Beacon, "turned out to be young men dressed to represent young ladies of the town. [Guy] Brown's attempts to play ball, while handicapped with a hobble skirt, were more than laughable. The whole five innings were a scream." (Courtesy of FVFD.)
