Description: The Portola town team wore hand-me-down uniforms donated by the Sacramento Solons which at the time was a team in the Pacific Coast League. At the end of World War II, the Feather River League was formed and over the years included teams from towns of Portola, Graeagle, Quincy (American Valley Giants and Quincy Red Sox, an all-Black club), Sloat, Greenville, Chester, Stead Air Force Base (Reno), Carson City State Prison, Susanville and Herlong Army Base (ammunition depot) among others.
