    Special thanks to the many individuals and non-profit organizations throughout northern California that contributed photographs and other archival material to help make this large website project possible. Among those being acknowledged below are former baseball players and team managers, surviving family members of players who provided scrapbook memorabilia, sometimes searching the garage and attic to find the right box, curators in local history museums and libraries who produced antique photos of teams going back to the late 1800s, sports collectors, history buffs and authors of books on local town history, plus sports editors who brought this project to the attention of readers who contacted us with valuable information which otherwise would not have been obtained.
