Description: Joe Gaggero became the manager of the Portola Natives in 1944. They later called themselves the Owl Drug Juniors and were sponsored by the Owl Drug Company. In 1946, 1947, and 1948 they were known as the Portola Merchants. In 1949, the team was sponsored by Theisen Glass Company. Gaggero is pictured in the back row, third from the left.
